Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention — to thoughts, physical sensations, and the environment — without constantly feeling the need to judge what’s happening or to make it other than it is.

Mindfulness is a way of meeting our experience with the presence of mind to respond skillfully to life’s challenges, rather than reacting based on intense emotions.

Mindfulness is simple, but not easy. It is a skill that we need to practise.
When we practise it, mindfulness allows us to live with a greater sense of calm, balance, and ease.

Year 6 learn Mindfulness

Year 6 ‘short’ Course. Can be delivered Pre Sats/ Pre 11+ or anytime that feels right for the school.

Year 6 experience x4 lessons of Mindfulness.

Full classes of 32 pupils with their teachers. This short course offers the children a good insight into Mindfulness leaving them with lots of valuable techniques. The course teaches them  how to self regulate and be leaders of their own minds.

The techniques can continue to be used by the teachers with their classes.
